FESTIVALS OF DHANUSHA

In Dhanusha district there is a full of Festivals. The people of dhanusha district celebrate many types of Festivals. Some of thwe festivals are as follows;
1) Dashain:
               Dashain is a big festivals of Nepal. It is not only celebrate by people of  Dhausha district only, it is clebrates all the people of nepal. It is the biggest festivals for the people of  Nepal. This festivals is celebrated, because lord Durga had killed a demon named Danasur. She made victory on this dangerous Demon. It is also called Vijaya Dashmi.

2) Tihar:
           Tihar is also second biggest festivals for the people of  Dhanusha district. This fesstivals is also celebrated by all the people of Nepal and India too. This festivals is celebrated, because in this day Lord Ram, Sita and Laxman were comming back from Forest after 14 years by conquiring the powerful demon Ravan, who was the king of  Lanka. On the Welcome of  Lord Ram, Sita & Laxman , this festivals is celebrated. This festivals is also Known as festivals of Light.

3) Chhath:
             Chhath is also one of the important festivals for the people of dhanusha district. This festival is celebrated by the people of terai only. This festivals is celebrated for the Lord Suryadev. Sun is known as Lord Suryadev. It is celebrated on the bank of river or pounds in over night.

4) Holi:
          Holi is the festivals of colours. This festivals is also celebrated all over Nepal. However the people of terai celebrate it very enjoybally. They put different types of colour on the body of  the other people. This festivals is celebrate, because Holika, sister of Hiranayakasyap, is burried over the fire by putting Parlad on  the lap and sat on the fire,because she has power of  not burning in fire. Due to the died of Holika in the fire, this festivals Holi is celebrated.

DHANUSHA DISTRICT

Dhanusha district is in Terai. It is in Janakpur zone. Sirha district in the east, the Mahottari district in the west, Sindhuli in the north and the Indian state of Bihar in the south surround this district. This district has plains in the south and the chure hills in the north. Moe people live on the flat or plain land than on the hillside.
                                                                 Janakpur is abig city. It is the headquarter of this district. The famous Janaki Temple is in janakpur. Thousand of hindu pilgrims from Nepal and India visit this Temple every year.
                 The climate is hot in Dhanusha. It is not very cold even in winter. It is very hot in summer, especially from Baishakh to Bhadra ( May to September ). It gets Monsoon rain from Ashar to Ashoj ( June to September ). Dhanusha is an Agricultural District. Rice and wheat are its main products. Other agricultural products are maize, tabacco and sugarcane. Most people are engaged in agriculture.
                                                                                                                       There are some factories also. The Janakpur Cigaratte Factory is famous in Nepal. A large number of people work in this factory. There are paper factories, ricemills, flourmills, sawmills and cottage industries.
                          There are dirfferent communities living in this district. There are different castes like Brahmins, Rajput, Kayastha, Newar, Magar and Tamang. They speak different languages like Maithali and Hindi. But most of  them speak and understand Nepali. They eat mostly rice and roti.
                                                                                                                Majority of  the people wear plain white cotton clothes (Dhoti) and shirt. Women usually wear sari and blouse. Most of the houses in the villages are small. Some big buildings are also found in the city.
                                              Most people of Dhanusha district are Hindus. They celebrate Dashain and Tihar. The people of Terai also celebrate Chhath. They celebrate Ram Nawami (the birhday of lord Ram) and Bibaha Panchami (the day on which lord Sita was married to lord Ram). There are some Muslims and a few Christains too. Muslims celebrate Id Muharram and Christains celebrate Christmas.
                                                                               In Dhanusha district there are two important rivers,  the Kamala and the Hardinath. these rivers are useful to farmers for irrigating the land. There are big Jungles (forests) in this district. There are Tigers, Bears, Boars, Dears and Leopards in this Jungles. There are also beautiful birds like quails and parrots. There are lots of trees which supply timber and firewoods.
                       Nepal's Government is paying great attention to the development of this district. There is electricity in this district and several services like Schools, Hospitals, Post offices, Telephones and various means of transport are available. There is a Railway line from Janakpur to Jayanagar, at the Indian Border. There is apleasant Bus services to Jaleshwar and other part of the country. There is an Airport also.
   This Dhanusha district is full of Natural biodiversity. There is Greenery all over it and Freshful Environment. This District is most suitable for Visitors.

DHANUSHA DISTRICT

Dhanusha is one of the biggest district of  Nepal. There are many beautiful places in this district. Janakpur zone is lies in this district. In this district most of the part of the terai is located. There is a plain land having beautiful views. Due to the falling of  Terai region in this district it is more popular of greenery environment. There are many greeney forest in this district. There are many village and less city in this district. Due to this there is no pollution and blowing fresh air all around. In this district there many  religious and historical places which is not popular in Nepal only, it is popular all over the world. Janakpurdham is one of the most popular religious as well as historical places which is situated at dhanusha district. It is popular, because this is the birth place of  Lord Sita. And Lord Ram had came to Janakpur to marry with Lord Sita. In ancient period Janakpur was a separate state known as Mithila. The king of the Mithila state was King Janak,father of Lord Sita. Now Mithila is modernised to Janakpur. Dhanushadham is also one of the religious place of Dhanusha district. It is popular because there is a broken arrow of  Lord Shiv which was broked in the Soyambar of Lord Sita by Lord Ram.
